Share your expertise and help shape the next generation of real estate professionals. As an eXp Certified Mentor, you play a vital role in guiding new agents through their first three transactions while earning a 10% mentor fee for your leadership and support.
The eXp Mentor Program pairs a new agent with an experienced agent for their first few transactions.
The mentor helps the mentee navigate real deals, answer questions, review contracts, and learn how to run the business correctly. The goal is simple, help new agents avoid costly mistakes and shorten the learning curve.
Most mentees complete the program after their first three closed transactions of any new transaction type.
Mentors are compensated with a portion of the commission from those transactions in exchange for their time, guidance, and oversight.
Additional income
Mentors receive a share of the commission from the mentee’s first transactions.
Leadership development
Teaching others strengthens your own systems, processes, and communication skills.
Industry impact
You help raise the standard of professionalism by guiding new agents the right way.
Relationship building
Many mentors build long-term professional relationships with the agents they guide.
Time commitment
New agents have questions, sometimes at inconvenient times.
Responsibility
You are helping guide real transactions. Mistakes can have real consequences.
Opportunity cost
Time spent mentoring is time not spent on your own production.
Agents who already run a stable, repeatable business.
Typically someone who:
• Consistently closes transactions
• Understands contracts and negotiations
• Has clear systems for running their business
• Communicates well and enjoys helping others
• Has time in their schedule to support a new agent
Not every agent should mentor yet.
If you are still building your business, learning contracts, or struggling with consistency, focus on production first.
Flight attendants say it best:
“Put your oxygen mask on first before helping others.”
In real estate that means:
• Build consistent lead generation
• Master your sales conversations
• Get comfortable running transactions
• Create predictable income
Once your business is stable, mentoring becomes a natural next step.
